POSITION – MIG Manual Welder

JOB LOCATION – Spooner, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm, Mon-Thurs)

STARTING PAY – $18-24/hour (Depends on Experience)

EDUCATION– HS Diploma or equivalent preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 to 3 years of related experience in a metal fabrication setting

Use MIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined specifications and production schedules. Supply quality parts & assemblies from jigs & fixtures. The Manual Welder uses MIG welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards and production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Pass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminum
• Possess an understanding of weld symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment
• Prepare and setup of necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs
• Arrange parts for welding and staging processes
• Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead

Qualifications

• You have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication setting; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• You have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• You are able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
• You have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
• You are self-motivated and driven
• You are comfortable learning new things and do so quickly
• You are productive and a team-player
• You have attention to detail and quality
